New wearable AI neural device can induce and stabilize lucid dreams
New wearable AI neural device can induce and stabilize lucid dreams. Named after the Greek god of dreams, Morpheus- 1 by Prophetic is breaking new ground in the fields of engineering, AI, neural science, and human consciousness. At the center of the device is the fusion of various advanced technologies. The device combines EEG and MRI technologies to detect REM sleep states with high precision. This cutting-edge monitoring system provides deep insights into brain activity, and thereby lays the groundwork for induced lucid dreaming. But Morpheus- 1 does much more than monitor brain activity-- it also influences dreams by utilizing transcranial focused ultrasound stimulation (tFUS) to modulate neuronal activity in targeted regions of the brain. The AI technology behind the device is also quite impressive, it uses a sophisticated generative ultrasonic transformer AI architecture. The AI utilizes over 103 million parameters to process EEG and MRI data simultaneously, and through intricate training phases the AI can learn to predict and induce brain states associated with lucid dreaming. And while the technology sounds somewhat intrusive, Prophetic claims that it is completely non-invasive. The device may also hold promise for therapeutic applications such as enhanced therapy for PTSD and anxiety. Learn more about this topic here.
